Educating the Whole Child:
Mind, Body and Spirit.
Pre-Kindergarten Dress Code
Pre-Kindergarten students should wear comfortable clothes, but tank tops and spaghetti straps are prohibited. Pants should have an elastic waist. Children must wear tennis shoes with socks. An extra change of clothes should be provided for bathroom accidents.
Kindergarten through 8th Grade Dress Code
Please refer to the dress code chart below for regular uniform days and P.E. You can also refer to the school handbook for additional guidance.
Spirit Days
Spirit Days are held the second Friday of each month. Approved T-shirts and sweatshirts from the St. Joseph Catholic School Spirit Wear Shop are allowed on Spirit Days. Plain, solid denim blue jeans may be worn as long as they are not torn, ripped, frayed, holey, stained, or contains ornamentation. Jean shorts may be worn as long as they comply with all other jeans and shorts requirements (shorts must be no shorter than the tip of the longest finger when arms are hanging by your side). If the jeans have belt loops, a solid colored uniform belt is required. Solid white socks must be worn at all times (in accordance with uniform sock requirements) with tennis shoes. Students choosing not to wear spirit wear must wear their regular school uniform.
Uniform Store
The St. Joseph PTF maintains a "Uniform Store" on the upstairs floor of the former convent, located next to the playground. Here, parents can shop for gently used uniform clothing for their students at a greatly reduced price. Proceeds support the PTF.
