Educating the Whole Child:
Mind, Body and Spirit.
St. Joseph Catholic School does not discriminate on the basis of gender, race, color, national, or ethnic origin in the administration or educational policies, admission policies, scholarship and local programs, athletic and other school administered programs.
St. Joseph Catholic School is committed to providing a quality, affordable Catholic education to the children of St. Joseph Parish and any family in the Freeburg, Illinois, area that seeks a quality education for their children. All students are expected to accept the total program of the school, including religious instruction and attendance at liturgical service.
PreKindergarten Admission Policy
St. Joseph Catholic School has established a priority for Pre-Kindergarten registration. First priority is given to families already enrolled in St. Joseph Catholic School and then to St. Joseph Parish and St. Agatha Parish families. Then, open registration is held. A waiting list is established when enrollment is full.
PreKindergarten students must be fully potty-trained prior to admission to St. Joseph Catholic School. This means the child knows how to go to the bathroom without being reminded to do so and is capable of cleaning their body without any aid from a staff member. Continuous bathroom accidents may jeopardize a child's enrollment status in the PreKindergarten program.
Age requirements for enrollment
PreKindergarten - Students must be 3 years of age by September 1 and fully potty trained.
Kindergarten - Students must be 5 years of age by September 1.
